I've left my laptop on overnight (installing XP on failing hard drive) and it didn't get any hotter than normal. A+ Certified Dell isn't so bad. Without them we would have nobody to make fun of. After the battery discharges a bit, the charger will kick into gear again and top the battery off. There’s no risk of damaging the battery by charging it over its capacity.
